Morgan Gibbs-White wanted

Chelsea have added Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White to their list of possible replacements for Enzo Fernandez, according to BBC Sport reporter Sami Mokbel.

The England international had looked set to stay at the City Ground this summer, but he could secure a bombshell Deadline Day move if Chelsea lodge a formal offer.

Speaking to BBC Sport, Mokbel said: “If Chelsea do sanction Fernandez’s exit, they’ve got some irons in the fire already, with regards to a replacement.

“Lamine Camara at Monaco is an option for them and keep an eye on Morgan Gibbs-White. He is a player that Chelsea like immensely.”

Tottenham eye Tosin Adarabioyo

Tottenham Hotspur are working on a surprise deal for Chelsea defender Tosin Adarabioyo as a possible replacement for Sunderland target Kevin Danso.

Xabi Alonso’s side are keen to offload Tosin before the window closes and Spurs have emerged as the frontrunners for his signature, following reported interest from Benfica.

Roberto De Zerbi wanted Tosin at Brighton & Hove Albion and Marseille, as per Sky Sports, and he is once again pursuing the defender as he looks to bring another centre-back to north London.

Manu Kone to join?

Chelsea have initiated contact with the representatives of AS Roma midfielder Manu Kone ahead of a possible late swoop on Transfer Deadline Day.

The France international has been heavily linked with a move throughout the summer window, amid reported interest from Arsenal and Manchester United, and Chelsea have now stepped up their bid to sign him as they prepare for the possible sale of Fernandez to Manchester City.

That is according to Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna, who reports that Kone is Chelsea’s priority target to replace Fernandez if Man City submit an offer worth €140 million before the transfer window closes at 23:00 BST on Tuesday.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Chelsea are in contact with Kone’s representatives, while RMC Sport reporter Fabrice Hawkins states that he is “very high” on Chelsea’s list of midfield targets.

It’s understood that Chelsea are yet to submit an official offer to Roma, but they could be set to intensify negotiations over a potential deal in the coming hours.

Lamine Camara deal collapses

Chelsea’s proposed move for AS Monaco midfielder Lamine Camara has collapsed due to intermediaries creating “massive disorder.”

On Sunday night, it was claimed that an agreement had been struck for the Senegal international to move to Stamford Bridge before the end of the summer window.

However, the deal has now collapsed, as per transfer reporter Sacha Tavolieri, who posted on X: “Lamine Camara's deal abruptly stalled due to agents!

“Intermediaries have inserted themselves on both sides, at Chelsea and at Monaco, which is creating massive disorder.

“Despite the in-principle agreement reached between the clubs, even though there were still some discussions to fine-tune on payment schedules and bonuses as explained last night, certain agents want to increase the transfer fee value to cover a larger amount of commissions.”

As a result, Chelsea have moved away from a possible move for Camara and a deal will now only be finalised if they make a late u-turn before the end of Deadline Day on Tuesday.

Como chase Robert Sanchez

Como have added Robert Sanchez to their list of goalkeeper targets, according to football transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano.

The Spaniard has fallen down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge following the signing of Emiliano Martinez and he was excluded from the Blues’ squad to face Brighton on Sunday ahead of a possible move.

It’s understood that Chelsea are keen to offload him permanently and Como are among the clubs assessing his situation.

Honest Ahanor to join Crystal Palace on loan

Chelsea have agreed to send Honest Ahanor on loan to Crystal Palace for the 2026-27 season after finalising a deal to sign the Atalanta defender.

However, Chelsea aren’t actually allowed to loan Ahanor to Palace as Premier League clubs are limited to sending just one player on loan to a fellow English top flight team each season and this slot has already been filled by Axel Disasi.

So, Chelsea have agreed to sign Ahanor in 2027 instead, with the defender set to join Palace on loan directly from Atalanta, before officially moving to Stamford Bridge next summer.
