Man Utd Transfer News Today: Shock deal already signed as Bruno Fernandes price leaked
All the latest Man Utd transfer news in one place, including updates on Ederson, Bruno Fernandes and Hugo Larsson.
Ederson signs Atalanta deal
Ederson has surprisingly signed a new five-year contract at Atalanta after the collapse of his Man Utd transfer.
The Brazil international's agent insisted last year that the midfielder would leave the Bergamo club in 2026, given that his previous contract only ran until the end of next season, and he looked to be proven correct when Man Utd agreed a €45 million package to sign him in June.
However, the Red Devils pulled out of the deal after carrying out thorough examinations on what they feared could be a potential future knee issue. Instead of joining a different club, Ederson has now committed his long-term future to Atalanta.
Fernandes price tag set
Man Utd would be willing to sell Bruno Fernandes for €50m this summer, Suleyman Rodop claims.
The Red Devils captain is a key target for Galatasaray, who view signing a top-level No.10 as one of their major priorities this summer. Real Madrid star Brahim Diaz is their backup option.
Talks over a deal for Fernandes are planned, though Galatasaray appear to have concerns over his salary demands, which are thought to be in the region of €20m net per year. It is also not clear whether the Portugal international would even be keen on the move.
Frankfurt relaxed over Larsson
Eintracht Frankfurt remain relaxed over the future of Hugo Larsson, as per BILD.
FootballTransfers recently revealed that Man Utd and Newcastle had made contact with the midfielder's representatives to sound out the feasibility of a potential move. We understand, and this has also been reported by Fabrizio Romano, that Larsson is open to a transfer.
However, the German tabloid insists that Frankfurt are unaware of a desire to leave from the player, while the club also deny any talks with suitors. The Bundesliga outfit want north of €40m for the Sweden international.
Celtic domino
Man Utd could kickstart a Celtic domino by making a move for AS Roma midfielder Manu Kone.
The France star is one of the midfield targets currently being considered by the Red Devils, and it is thought that contact with his entourage has already been made. Roma are open to doing business for a fee in excess of €50m.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, one of the Serie A club's top targets to replace Kone is Celtic midfielder Arne Engels. The Belgian is also fielding Premier League interest, which could complicate the matter for Roma.
