Baleba desperate for Man Utd

The representatives of Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba have initiated fresh talks with Man Utd, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Cameroon international is once again being linked with the Red Devils, but this time, the interest is coming from the player's side. Last summer, Man Utd agreed personal terms with Baleba, but Brighton refused to sell.

The player was "pushing like crazy" to join Man Utd. However, the trail has gone cold since Ruben Amorim's sacking in January, and Romano admits that it is currently unclear if the Old Trafford club are ready to go back in for Baleba.

Adams considered again

Another midfield option for Man Utd is Bournemouth star Tyler Adams, as per the Daily Mail.

The Red Devils are once again considering a move for the €40 million-rated US international, having been linked on and off again with him since last year. In late 2025, he was strongly associated with a January move, but an injury put an end to the speculation.

The club are now running the rule over Adams again because he would be among the more affordable options on their summer shortlist. Man Utd are currently unlikely to make an expensive marquee signing because they want volume ahead of their Champions League return.

Bold midfield plan

If Man Utd fail to find a suitable target, they could also abandon their plans of signing a third midfielder altogether, the BBC understands.

The Old Trafford outfit have already completed deals for Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans, but they are keen to bolster their side with a third midfielder who is more in the mould of Casemiro after the Brazilian's departure for Inter Miami.

Man Utd still have a number of options on the table, but they are keen to find value for money and may end up not signing anyone at all if they can't get their hands on the right player.

Rowe interest

Man Utd are among the clubs interested in Bologna winger Jonathan Rowe, the print edition of Corriere di Bologna claims.

The Italian outlet recently linked the Red Devils with Bologna defender Jhon Lucumi, and it is now claimed that English forward Rowe is also on the club's radar. The left-sided winger has also been linked with Aston Villa, Chelsea and Everton in recent weeks.

Bologna are reluctant to lose Rowe after just one season, but they may need sales after failing to qualify for Europe, and his value is currently peaking after a strong end to the season. The former Norwich man has made no secret of his long-term desire to return to the Premier League.
