Chelsea Transfer News Today: Bid accepted as clear Jarrod Bowen message sent
All the latest Chelsea transfer news in one place, including updates on Jarrod Bowen, Zadok Yohanna and Enzo Fernandez.
Bowen not for sale?
West Ham have informed Chelsea and other suitors that they intend to keep Jarrod Bowen this summer, The Sun claims.
The Hammers captain has emerged as a potential market opportunity following the club's relegation to the Championship. It is believed that West Ham will need to raise more than €100 million from sales to make up for lost revenues this summer.
However, it is claimed that the East London club would rather sell different players and keep Bowen. They have contacted Chelsea and other clubs interested in the winger to inform them that he is not for sale.
Yohanna bid accepted
AIK have accepted a €25m bid from Chelsea for young attacker Zadok Yohanna, as per the Daily Mail.
However, a transfer will ultimately come down to the player's desire, as the Swedish club have also accepted an offer from Newcastle in the same ballpark. Brighton are also trying to sign the 18-year-old, with AIK confirming last weekend that talks had begun.
It was previously reported that Yohanna had agreed terms with the Seagulls, but the club's first two bids fell short of AIK's valuation. The Nigerian could now end up at Stamford Bridge instead.
Real Madrid won't bid for Fernandez - yet
Incumbent Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has boasted that he will make a €150 million bid for a player on Tuesday if he wins the election this weekend.
This quickly sparked rumours that the player in question could be Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez, who is understood to be keen on a move to Los Blancos. However, while Perez did not disclose the identity of the player, he said that he does not play in the Premier League, ruling out the Argentine.
It has since been revealed that Perez was talking about Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise, despite previously making a statement to the contrary. Bayern are unlikely to accept, so Perez could still pivot to Fernandez further down the line.
Jaouen set for Newcastle
Newcastle are set to sign Stade Reims goalkeeper Ewen Jaouen, L'Equipe reports.
The 20-year-old shot-stopper is expected to leave the Ligue 2 side after they failed to win promotion last season, with the Premier League now his most likely destination. Newcastle and Reims have reportedly settled on a €28.5m fee.
Jaouen was also believed to be a target for Chelsea - or perhaps more likely for BlueCo as a potential replacement for Mike Penders at Strasbourg. He reportedly toured Cobham recently, but he now looks poised for a move to St. James' Park.
