Arsenal join race for Ndiaye

Arsenal have joined Manchester United in the race to sign €80million-rated (£70m) Everton star Iliman Ndiaye, according to the Daily Mail.

Speculation has started to swirl regarding Ndiaye’s long-term future after The Athletic revealed he has turned down several contract offers from Everton, who were keen to reward him for his early-season form.

It is claimed there has been no falling out between Everton and the former Sheffield United man but Ndiaye is only keen to sign fresh terms provided a release clause, which can be activated as early as this summer, is included – a proposal the Toffees have rejected.

This has lead to Arsenal and United monitoring the situation, with the Gunners keen to strengthen at left-wing this summer.

Arsenal target breaks silence over transfer links

France midfielder Manu Kone insists he remains fully focused on the World Cup amid ongoing speculation linking him with Arsenal.

Such has been Kone’s form at Romathat French publication L’Equipe understands Arsenal are interested in his services.

However, Kone says he is not paying too much attention to the talk surrounding his future, but rather he is channeling his efforts into helping France win a third World Cup this summer.

In quotes carried by Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, via transfers specialist Fabrizio Romano, Kone said: “I am focused on the World Cup. After that, we will see what happens.”

Bouaddi starred for Morocco in their 1-1 draw with Brazil which generated signicant hype, with Fabrizio Romano revealing that Arsenal had reached out to Lille over a deal prior to the World Cup.

“Even before the World Cup, some of the biggest clubs in the world started some conversations with his (Bouaddi) agents,” Romano said. “We have to mention also that English clubs started conversations for Bouaddi. For example there were direct contacts with Arsenal and direct contacts also with Liverpool. So both clubs had meetings with the agents of the player.”

Speaking about his future after the match Bouaddi said: ‘I’m really happy to know that some clubs are interested in me. But for now I’m only focused on the World Cup and we will try to give everything to do our best."

The Times report now that Arsenal have now enagaged Lille in talks over a deal which could be worth £60 million (€69.5m.)

Real Madrid truth revealed over Arsenal duo

Jose Mourinho’s transfer shortlist has been revealed by Spanish media, with Arsenal among the teams that could be affected by the new Real Madrid manager’s summer transfer plans.

Mourinho is believed to have asked Real Madrid to reinforce the midfield with two players and restructure the defence with ‘three or four’ incomings after agreeing to sign Marc Cucurella from Chelsea.

In defence, Mourinho’s alleged primary target is Josko Gvardiol, who is said to have a price tag of €60m from Manchester City, with Arsenal duo Piero Hincapie and Riccardo Calafiori the backups, although all three players are described as being ‘in regular talks with their agents about joining Real Madrid’.

Hincapie is believed to have ‘dreamed’ of playing for Real Madrid since his childhood and, with both him and Calafiori competing for the same spot at Arsenal, a deal for one could be possible for €50-60m.

However, after the deal for Cucurella was confirmed, Fabrizio Romano revealed that talks over Calafiori never progressed past the agent stage, leading to a move for the Chelsea man instead.
