Liverpool, Chelsea or PSG? Inside Kroupi’s €65m transfer race – and the club already leading it
Bournemouth striker Eli Junior Kroupi is being targeted by Chelsea, Liverpool and PSG ahead of the summer transfer window – but there’s already a clear favourite to sign the teenage sensation.
Kroupi became the first teenager this century to hit double figures in his debut Premier League season as he tapped in against Arsenal as the Cherries claimed a shock 2-1 victory at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
The exploits of the 19-year-old, who has a goal every 124 minutes of Premier League football this season, have attracted the interest of some of the biggest clubs in the world, with Bournemouth ready to sell for a fee in the region of €65 million, according to The Daily Briefing.
Arsenal have held Kroupi talks
Interest in Kroupi is nothing new. Arsenal made contact with the striker’s representatives back in the autumn of 2025 prior to the teenager changing agents. Chelsea were also linked with him at this juncture.
Indeed, this switch of representation could spell trouble for the Premier League teams interested in signing him.
Kroupi is now represented by Moussa Sissoko, who handles the affairs of players such as Desire Doue and Ousmane Dembele, highlighting his strong relationship with Champions League winners PSG.
French media reported earlier this year that this change of agent was “significant” to Kroupi’s future as it was seen as a sign that he is already interested in making a move.
Where does Kroupi fit at Liverpool and Chelsea?
Liverpool and Chelsea have both invested heavily in attacking players in recent transfer windows, and Kroupi would represent another major signing.
It is easier to see the young Frenchman slotting into the Chelsea side at this moment in time. With major doubts over the future of Liam Delap, Kroupi could naturally slot in as a second centre-forward option behind Joao Pedro. Emmanuel Emegha’s imminent arrival from Strasbourg, though, means he would not necessarily be guaranteed such a slot.
At Liverpool, meanwhile, Alexander Isak and Hugo Ekitike are both vying over the No.9 role, the prospect of Kroupi being afforded any space in his favoured role seems limited.
PSG, meanwhile, could offload Goncalo Ramos in the summer, freeing up space for another young French talent, the type of which they are making the foundation of their project.
Between this and the links with his agent, the Ligue 1 leaders look favourites to land Kroupi.
