Yan Diomande to Man Utd ON as €100m wonderkid makes big decision
RB Leipzig wonderkid Yan Diomande has changed his agents amid strong interest from Manchester United and other European giants.
The Ivorian is in the midst of a sensational debut season in the Bundesliga. RB Leipzig took a massive gamble by spending €20 million on the 19-year-old in the summer, but Diomande has made it look like an inspired decision.
The tricky winger has notched eight goals and provided six assists so far this term. This form has seen him become a senior Ivory Coast international and a starter at the Africa Cup of Nations.
With the World Cup on the horizon, his stock is only bound to increase further. To fend off interest, Leipzig have already slapped a €100m price tag on the teenager.
CEO Oliver Mintzlaff has claimed that Leipzig could keep Diomande beyond this season, but this increasingly looks like wishful thinking. Almost every major European club is determined to sign him this summer.
Diomande joins Roc Nation
The youngster has now dropped a significant hint that he will indeed be on the move after this season by signing for Jay-Z's Roc Nation agency, which also represents Vinicius Jr, Gabriel Martinelli and Kevin de Bruyne.
It is a clear sign that Diomande will discuss his future with suitors in the summer. At this stage, though, it is unclear where he will end up. He previously revealed that he dreams of signing for Liverpool.
However, recent reports have also credited Man Utd with a strong interest in him, while Arsenal and PSG are known to be keen on the 19-year-old sensation as well. He could replace the aforementioned Martinelli at the Emirates.
Given Diomande's status as one of the most promising talents in world football, Chelsea are also bound to be involved in the race for him, especially with summer signings Jamie Gittens and Alejandro Garnacho yet to really consistently impress.
