Arsenal have already held talks with Bournemouth's next big-money superstar
Arsenal have already held talks with Bournemouth youngster Eli Kroupi, according to French media.
The 19-year-old is in the midst of a spectacular debut season in the Premier League. After joining the Cherries from sister club Lorient for just €13 million in the summer, Kroupi has already scored eight Premier League goals.
This is despite not being a regular starter, nor always playing as a striker. The teenager's impact in limited minutes has been quite remarkable, and it is naturally making him an attractive commodity.
Of course, Kroupi will already have been familiar to scouts of big teams before he moved to the South Coast. During his time at Lorient, he earned comparisons to the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar.
The partnership between the clubs helped Bournemouth sign him ahead of more high-profile suitors, but there is an acceptance that he won't be at the Vitality Stadium for long.
Arsenal already spoke to Kroupi months ago
According to MediaFoot, Arsenal made contact with Kroupi's representatives back in the autumn of 2025. This revelation comes in the wake of the youngster swapping agents.
He is now represented by Moussa Sissoko, who also handles the affairs of players like Desire Doue and Ousmane Dembele. Arsenal's discussions over the player took place with his previous agent.
As a result, there is now the sense that the Gunners may have fallen behind PSG when it comes to potentially signing Kroupi. With Sissoko representing the Parisians' biggest stars, it is an easy link to make.
It is thought that Kroupi's decision to link up with Sissoko is a "significant" hint that he could be on the move sooner than Bournemouth may have anticipated. But then again, he has exceeded expectations this term.
PSG's interest in Kroupi comes amid uncertainty surrounding the future of Goncalo Ramos. The Portuguese is expected to leave the club in the summer after fielding January interest from Atletico Madrid, Aston Villa and others.
Kroupi would be a direct replacement and perhaps one more suited to Luis Enrique's style. Unlike Ramos, the 19-year-old is not a traditional striker and is more in the mould of a Dembele.
However, he may also become an option for Arsenal again amid growing speculation surrounding Kai Havertz. Although FootballTransfers understands that Mikel Arteta wants to hand him a contract extension, reports suggest that Bayern are plotting a major summer offensive for him.
