AIK wonderkid Kevin Filling insists that he is "just chilling" amid ongoing speculation linking him with a move to Manchester United.

The young striker burst onto the scene in his native Sweden in 2025. Filling, who only turned 17 in November, broke into AIK's first team last year and would go on to net a pair of goals in nine appearances.

Naturally, given his age, his emergence caused plenty of excitement. Although under contract until 2028, transfer speculation wasn't long in coming. Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg claimed that Man Utd were in talks to wrap up a January deal for the forward.

This reporting was dismissed in England due to some poor wording from the journalist, but he later doubled down on his assertion by adding that Filling would, of course, be signed for the future if a deal were to be agreed this month. He is unable to move to England until he turns 18.

Plettenberg added that Borussia Dortmund had also entered the race for the teenager, but so far, there have been no major developments on that front since then.

Filling: "I'm just chilling with friends"

The new Allsvenskan season is only slated to kick off in early April, but AIK have already started their pre-season with some indoor training sessions. Sportbladet caught up with Filling after one such session to discuss the youngster's future.

“I do not think about it that much,” Filling insisted. “There can be talk all the time. Whether it is true or not, I do not really know much about it. I focus on where I am right now and continue to look forward here.”

When asked if his phone was blowing up due to the rumours associating him with some of Europe's biggest clubs, Filling laughed and said: “No, no. I’m just chilling with friends. It’s better than checking my phone. Maybe I see a picture here and there, but it does not matter.

"It doesn't affect me. I am where I am now, and that is how I am as a person. For some, it might be difficult, but not really for me. I am just like that as a person. I lock myself in a bit, do not think about it too much and just continue from there.”

Filling previously claimed that he is not thinking about a transfer and that his main priority for 2026 is to establish himself as a starter at AIK.
