Chelsea will "certainly" attempt to sell Nicolas Jackson next summer when he returns from his loan at Bayern Munich, according to a report.

The Senegal international has had a difficult season after being forced out of Chelsea in the summer. With Harry Kane at the peak of his powers, Jackson has found game time hard to come by at Bayern.

At this point, it is well established that the 24-year-old will be sent back to Stamford Bridge in the summer. Bayern have a €65 million purchase option and an obligation that is tied to performance criteria, but neither will be triggered.

Despite his impending return to Chelsea, it is unlikely that he will be kept around by the Blues. Emmanuel Emegha is set to join from sister club Strasbourg next summer, and he will effectively take the place of Jackson in Enzo Maresca's squad.

According to CaughtOffside, Chelsea will "certainly be looking for a buyer" for Jackson in 2026, with sources telling the outlet that there is no way back for the Senegalese.

Jackson still in demand

Fortunately for Chelsea, Jackson will have no shortage of suitors in the summer. The report claims that various clubs from the Premier League and around Europe are keen on the 24-year-old.

Aston Villa, Newcastle and Everton are explicitly named as being interested. Ollie Watkins is Villa's only out-and-out striker, although Donyell Malen can also play as a No.9.

Newcastle have Nick Woltemade and Yoane Wissa, but they are likely to lose William Osula to Eintracht Frankfurt in January. The Bundesliga side already have a verbal agreement with the striker.

Everton, meanwhile, have had huge problems in the No.9 position this season, with Beto and Thierno Barry only combining for two Premier League goals. From the continent, Atletico Madrid and Napoli are said to be two "options to watch out for."
