Casemiro earns new Man Utd deal… on one condition

Man Utd are ready to hand midfielder Casemiro a new contract, with the Brazilian having completed a total U-turn in the mind of Ruben Amorim.

Having been set to leave the club just a matter of months ago, Casemiro has made himself indispensable for the Portuguese, clearly establishing himself as the most important player Man Utd have right now.

Amorim is set to recognise this, with a new deal set to be offered to the 33-year-old Brazil international star, TalkSport reports.

However, Casemiro will have to take a pay cut to remain at Old Trafford. His current salary is in the region of €350,000 (£300,000) per week.

Mainoo and Zirkzee to be left disappointed

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Man Utd are poised to reject transfer requests from Kobbie Mainoo and Joshua Zirkzee ahead of the January transfer window.

The pair have been handed limited playtime this season and are thought to want to leave in order to further their World Cup ambitions.

Amorim is set to dash those hopes by keeping them at Old Trafford against their will, Romano says.

Speaking to his YouTube channel, he revealed: “Regarding Joshua Zirkzee and Kobbie Mainoo, Amorim doesn’t want them to leave in January. With AFCON and Sesko’s injury, United believe they’ll need both players for squad depth.

“Zirkzee, in particular, has drawn early interest from West Ham, Roma, and other clubs. But United will wait to see the full recovery timeline for Benjamin Sesko before making a decision. Zirkzee is well regarded internally – he can play as a striker or just behind the forwards – and United want to keep him involved.”

Endrick bid rejected

Sesko’s injury could prompt Man Utd into January action given their lack of striking depth, and reports from Brazil indicate that they have had another offer for Real Madrid wonderkid Endrick rejected.

Already capped 14 times for Brazil, scoring three goals in the process, the 19-year-old has failed to make a breakthrough at the Bernabeu but retains the confidence of the Spanish capital side such that he remains in their long-term plans.

While Endrick is likely to complete a January loan move away, Ligue 1 side Lyon have him firmly in their sights and are expected to complete a deal. Globo eSport says he has kept his word to them by turning down Man Utd’s latest approach.

United target wonderkid Dell – the ‘Brazilian Haaland’

United are very much in the market for an additional attacker and have sent their scouts to watch 17-year-old Brazil sensation Dell at the U17 World Cup.

The teenager has a €99 million release clause in his Bahia deal – a figure that United will likely have to meet in order to sign the youngster given that his club are 90% owned by the City Football Group.

Transfer insider Graham Bailey reports that the teenager is one of the main players who the Red Devils are following at the competition.

Dell has been branded as the ‘Brazilian Haaland’, despite having made only two appearances for his club’s senior side.

Concrete interest in McTominay confirmed

Napoli midfielder Scott McTominay has been linked with a sensational move back to Man Utd in 2026, and now CaughtOffside has reported that there is “concrete interest” in the Scotland international star.

The report quotes an unnamed source, who states: “There is concrete interest in Scott McTominay. Manchester United would have him back and keep an eye on Newcastle and Tottenham. Barcelona also view him as someone who could be a good fit for their midfield.”

Napoli do not want to lose the 28-year-old and have not put a price tag on the Ballon d’Or nominee.

Man Utd battle Liverpool for Schlotterbeck: He’s ready to move!

Manchester United have been told that Borussia Dortmund defender Nico Schlotterbeck is ready to move in the summer – but the Red Devils face competition from Arne Slot’s Liverpool to sign the Germany international star.

Although BVB are desperate to retain the centre-back, Bild reports that he is out of contract in 2027 and could therefore leave next summer should no new deal be agreed. The German source claims that this is looking like the most probable option currently.

Schlotterbeck is valued around the €50m mark by Dortmund.
