Bayern make contact for €80m striker - Fabrizio Romano
Bayern Munich made contact for Dusan Vlahovic twice at the start of October, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Romano says on his Italian YouTube channel that Bayern made calls twice at the start of last month to ask for information about Vlahovic.
There was no official offer, there have since been no negotiations or further contact, but Romano confirms that Vlahovic is a player Bayern have had in their mind.
Romano adds that Vlahovic does not intend to leave Juventus in January and is just focused on doing his best for the club.
Vlahovic to leave Juventus?
Vlahovic's contract expires at the end of the season and there is a strong chance he will leave the club on a free transfer in July.
He has had some improved performances of late that have led to talk that Juventus could consider giving him a new deal.
Romano says he has no information on that.
Whether a new contract is possible remains to be seen as Juve are unlikely to get even close to his current salary of €12 million per year.
Juventus signed Vlahovic from Fiorentina in January 2022 for €80m but overall he has not lived up to the promise he showed in Florence, despite still managing a respectful tally of 64 goals in 160 games.
Vlahovic played on Saturday as Juventus drew 0-0 at home to Torino in the derby.
The Bianconeri are having a dismal season and recently sacked their manager Igor Tudor, replacing him with Luciano Spalletti.
