Arteta in dreamland as €56m star ready to boost Arsenal title bid
Mikel Arteta has received a brilliant piece of news as Noni Madueke is set to return to Arsenal training ahead of schedule, according to a report.
The England international arrived in North London in a controversial €56 million deal from Chelsea in the summer, but he quickly proved his doubters wrong.
A small but vocal section of Arsenal supporters had protested against what they perceived as an underwhelming signing, only to be shut up by the exciting winger with his performances.
Although he did not officially manage a goal contribution, Madueke was nothing short of brilliant in the opening games of the season, before a knee injury sidelined him in September.
With Arsenal now boasting incredible depth, Madueke's injury has not hurt them in the slightest as they seek to finally win their second major trophy under Arteta, but his return would nevertheless be a welcome boost.
Madueke back ahead of schedule
Madueke was initially expected to return at the end of November, but GIVEMESPORT reports that the 23-year-old will be back in Arsenal training ahead of schedule.
It is claimed that Madueke's recovery has been 'faster than expected' and that the player is 'close to rejoining the first team' after impressing staff with his attitude during his period on the sideline.
Given the nature of the injury, Arsenal will naturally be wary of rushing him back. There is no need to take any risks as the Gunners are functioning like a well-oiled machine right now.
Madueke will complete 'several controlled sessions' before being allowed to rejoin to 'full-contact training.' The report has not put a timeline on his potential return to the pitch for competitive matches.
Arteta has had to manage several injury concerns in recent days, with William Saliba, Gabriel Martinelli and Martin Odegaard set to miss their Carabao Cup clash with Brighton on Wednesday.
