Marc Guehi: Crystal Palace exit video LEAKED online after failed Liverpool transfer
Marc Guehi’s ‘goodbye video’ to Crystal Palace has been leaked online after his proposed move to Liverpool fell through on Transfer Deadline Day.
The England international was heavily linked with a move to the reigning Premier League champions throughout the summer transfer window and he was expected to complete an Anfield switch before the 19:00 BST deadline on Monday evening.
A deal had been fully agreed between all parties, while Guehi had successfully undergone his medical at Liverpool ahead of a €40 million transfer.
However, Crystal Palace pulled the plug on the deal at the final hurdle due to their inability to sign an adequate replacement.
The Eagles did manage to finalise the €23m signing of Toulouse defender Jaydee Canvo on Deadline Day, but they saw a proposed loan move for Brighton & Hove Albion defender Igor Julio hijacked by West Ham United.
As a result, they decided to cancel Guehi’s transfer to Liverpool, with reports suggesting that head coach Oliver Glasner had threatened to quit if the club sanctioned the departure of the England centre-back.
A deal sheet for Guehi’s move to Liverpool was submitted before the deadline, but the 25-year-old will now remain at Crystal Palace until at least January, by which time he will only have six months left on his contract at Selhurst Park.

Guehi’s deal to Liverpool was so advanced that he even recorded a ‘farewell video’ for Crystal Palace fans.
This has now been leaked on social media, effectively confirming that Guehi was expected to join Liverpool before Palace pulled the plug on the deal.
The former Chelsea academy star has made a total of 161 first-team appearances for Crystal Palace and he is now expected to join Liverpool on a free transfer in the summer of 2026.
