Chelsea stunned as Arsenal join race for €100m wonderkid
Arsenal have reportedly joined Chelsea in the race to sign Juventus wonderkid Kenan Yildiz next year.
Mikel Arteta’s side bolstered their forward line with the additions of Viktor Gyokeres, Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke this summer, however they remain eager to sign reinforcements amid their pursuit of an elusive Premier League title.
After failing to sign Rodrygo or Nico Williams this year, Arsenal have now turned their attention to finalising a deal for the aforementioned Yildiz.
That is according to Italian outlet Bianconera News, who claim that Arsenal are ready to contact Yildiz’s entourage in order to gauge the likelihood of a 2026 transfer as they look to win the race for his signature.
Chelsea have been linked with a move for the 20-year-old on a number of occasions so far this year and recent reports suggest they would be willing to pay as much as €100 million to sign the Turkey international next summer.
The Blues added Alejandro Garnacho, Jamie Gittens, Liam Delap, Joao Pedro and Estevao Willian to their attack during the recent summer transfer window, but Enzo Maresca isn’t yet satisfied with his options and he is reportedly eyeing a blockbuster move for Yildiz.
However, Arsenal are eager to compete for the 20-year-old’s signature, while Manchester United have also been named as possible suitors, despite their recent purchases of Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo.
Kenan Yildiz likely to stay at Juventus
Although Yildiz is wanted by multiple top Premier League clubs, Bianconera News state that Juventus have no intention of allowing the Turkey superstar to depart.
He has four years remaining on his current deal in Turin and Igor Tudor’s side are already working on submitting a contract extension worth €6m-per-year.
Yildiz, who has registered six goal contributions in five games so far this season, is also reportedly focused on remaining at Juventus and he is not looking to leave the Serie A giants in 2026.
