Malacia was in talks to join Spanish club Elche on Deadline Day but the transfer could not be completed before the window closed due to a disagreement over including a buy clause at the end of the season.

But despite the main European transfer window closing on Monday, United still have hope of offloading Malacia.

Malacia to Eredivisie?

The Dutch transfer window does not close until 2300 UK time on Tuesday and United are now offering Malacia to Eredivisie clubs.

The left back spent the second half of last season on loan at PSV and previously played for Feyenoord.

Man Utd loaned out Malacia to PSV in January after he endured an injury-hit first half to the season with the Red Devils.

Malacia played just nine times in all competitions for United last term.

PSV did not sign him permanently and he returned to United but he has no future under Ruben Amorim.

The 26-year-old was signed by Man Utd in the summer of 2022 from Feyenoord for €15 million but has managed only 47 appearances for the club.

Should United fail to offload him today to the Eredivisie, the Turkish and Saudi windows will remain open a while longer and be another possible destination.
