Gianluigi Donnarumma’s agent has threatened to take PSG to court due to a “lack of respect” shown to the Italy goalkeeper.

Donnarumma has announced that he will leave the Champions League winners this summer following the arrival of Lucas Chevalier as No.1.

The Italy star has been left out of the PSG squad to face Tottenham Hotspur in the Super Cup and has attracted interest from Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea.

Pep Guardiola’s side are currently leading the way to sign the 26-year-old, who played a starring role in Les Parisiens’ European Cup victory. Personal terms have been reached between Donnarumma and Man City, although PSG’s asking price of €50 million is set to prove a major stumbling block to a swift deal.

With a year left on his contract at Parc des Princes and now no prospect of negotiations restarting, the keeper will leave PSG this summer.

But his departure comes at a cost. Donnarumma’s agent, Enzo Raiola, has threatened the club with legal action.

“The situation lasted a long time because PSG had offered lower terms in the spring, which Gigio had accepted out of respect for the club and the fans,” Raiola told Sky Sport Italia.

“However, in March-April, once we had decided to move forward together, the club changed the rules again. So we preferred to talk about it again after the Champions League final.

“We spoke again after the Club World Cup, they confirmed the situation, and I replied that Gigio would respect his contract but would not renew it. Then, in the last 10 days, PSG changed everything again.

“I understand the need to hire a new goalkeeper, but letting Gigio go after everything he has done for the club is a huge lack of respect, which I will evaluate with my lawyers. Gigio’s image has been tarnished.”

Donnarumma, who joined PSG as free agent due to a stormy end to his time at AC Milan, has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) worth €23.8m.
