Alejandro Garnacho agrees personal terms with Chelsea - Romano
Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho has agreed personal terms with Chelsea, according to football transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano.
The Argentina international has been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in recent weeks, after a public bust-up with Man Utd boss Ruben Amorim, and he is now edging closer to a bombshell transfer.
Garnacho has prioritised a Chelsea switch since the beginning of the 2025 summer transfer window and he has now finalised personal terms with Enzo Maresca’s side after the Blues intensified their pursuit on Thursday.
That is according to Romano, who posted on X: “Understand Alejandro Garnacho has agreed every detail of personal terms with Chelsea!
"Deal done on player side, he only wants Chelsea as revealed here since July. Talks with Man United about fee will follow soon. CFC pursue both Garnacho and Xavi Simons, as revealed.”
Reports have indicated that Chelsea value Garnacho at around €35m (£30m), while Man Utd are instead aiming to sell the 21-year-old for a fee of at least €58m (£50m).
Garnacho scored 11 goals and provided 10 assists in 58 appearances across all competitions last season.
Ruben Amorim on Alejandro Garnacho
During a recent press conference, Amorim confirmed that Garnacho is eager to leave Man Utd after he was omitted from the club’s pre-season tour of the USA.
“Garnacho is a really talented boy, but sometimes things don't work out,” the Man Utd boss told reporters.
“You cannot explain specifically what it is. But I have the feeling that Garnacho wants a different thing with a different leadership. And I can understand that. It's not a problem.
“Sometimes you adapt to one guy, you have the connection. Other times, you want a new challenge. We try to make everything okay to all the parts, to the club, to the coach and to the players. It's a natural thing in football.”
Amorim continued: “There are players that clearly show that they don't want to be here, and that is normal. It’s not that they’re bad and I’m good, or I'm bad and they’re good.
“It's not that situation. It's a simple situation that they want new challenges. If the market closes and they are still Manchester United players, we as a club have to treat them under the same conditions.
“But at this moment, I'm just working with the players I think are going to stay, and the other guys are trying to find a solution for their careers.”
