'UNHAPPY' Man Utd flop to be face of Inter's rebuild after PSG humiliation

Champions League finalists Inter want to make Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund the face of their new era, according to various Italian outlets.
The Nerazzurri are coming off one of the most chastening results in club history, having lost the Champions League final 5-0 to PSG. Inter's veterans never even stood a chance against the Parisians' young stars.
While Inter, and especially manager Simone Inzaghi, deserve massive credit for building a side that has reached two Champions League finals despite operating under financial constraints, it is clear that the Serie A giants need to ring in a new era.
Their ageing stars weren't able to cope with the relentless run-in of the bygone season, and Inter went from competing for a treble to finishing the campaign trophyless.
In the next 24 hours, a decision will be made on whether the club's summer rebuild will be led by Inzaghi or whether the Italian mastermind will take up Al-Hilal's lucrative offer to become their manager.
Inter want Hojlund
One thing is already clear, though: Inter need fresh blood, and the Italian press is in agreement that one of their top targets for this summer is Man Utd striker Rasmus Hojlund.
The former Atalanta star has underwhelmed since his €79 million transfer to Old Trafford, but he still enjoys a positive reputation in Serie A for his brief but intense spell in Bergamo.

Moreover, Hojlund is still only 22, so there is a feeling that he could yet become a reliable goalscorer in a different environment. Man Utd, too, are said to be open to considering a sale of the Denmark international.
Calciomercato, Gazzetta dello Sport and Corriere dello Sport all report that Hojlund features high on Inter's shortlist, and that he has overtaken teammate Joshua Zirkzee in the Nerazzurri's thinking.
However, there is also an acceptance that a permanent transfer will be very challenging to pull off this summer. Inter will likely struggle to match Man Utd's demands, so they would prefer a loan. However, there are doubts over whether the Red Devils would sanction a temporary exit.
One thing that could work in Inter's favour is the fact that they are said to have an excellent relationship with Hojlund's agent. There seems to be some hope that Hojlund and his camp could agitate for a move as the player is said to be 'unhappy' at Man Utd.
