Al-Hilal 'close' to Bruno Fernandes agreement

Al-Hilal believe they are close to an agreement to sign Bruno Fernandes from Manchester United, according to a new report.
The Saudi Pro League outfit held talks with Fernandes’ representatives earlier this week over a summer transfer, with Al-Hilal hoping to seal a deal before the Club World Cup later this month.
However, Fernandes is believed to have been reluctant to consider an approach until Man Utd had communicated their desire to sell him, at which point he would be open to a move.
In the latest development, transfer reporter Ben Jacobs has claimed that Fernandes is now deliberating with his family, with their personal decision thought to play a bigger part the footballing side.
Al-Hilal have yet to make a formal offer to United but they believe Fernandes’ sale will be sanctioned if the 30-year-old asks to leave, although he is reluctant to force a move unless there is a desire to cash in on him.
United have insisted they do not want to sell their club captain but, having missed out on Champions League football for next season, they may be tempted by the reported fee, which is believed to be in excess of €80 million.
Amorim: We can find ‘another way’ to earn money outside of Bruno sale
Fernandes was United’s only standout player during the recent campaign, having played more minutes than any other outfielder and having a hand in more than 40% of their total goals scored in the Premier League.
Amorim has been adamant that he does not want to lose his skipper, defiantly telling reporters that ‘we can find another way to earn money’ when asked about the situation during the club’s tour to Asia.
Asked if the win over Hong Kong may prove to be Fernandes’ final appearance for United, Amorim said: “I don’t think so. I don’t know for sure, nobody knows, but I don’t think so. I think he’s seeing us taking some actions to change things and that’s all he asks.

“I think he wants to stay. He is saying no to a lot of things, but that shows he wants to win. He’s really young, he’s really good, he needs to be in the best league in the world.”
