Liverpool receive Real Madrid warning after Alexander-Arnold boos

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has handed his old club a stern warning after Trent Alexander-Arnold was booed throughout the Reds’ 2-2 Premier League draw with Arsenal on Sunday.
The Anfield club raced into a two-goal advantage at Anfield as they celebrated their second title of the modern era and 20th overall, but the afternoon was soured by Arsenal’s comeback and the treatment of the England right-back.
Alexander-Arnold has announced that he will leave the club as a free agent when his contract expires at the end of the season, with a move to Real Madrid inevitable.
And Carragher dropped a hard truth after the clash.
“Supporters of any football club or Liverpool right now probably wouldn't want to hear this, but most players probably in that Liverpool dressing room probably want to play for Real Madrid,” Carragher told Sky Sports.
“You know, I've been in a dressing room where players left us to go to Barcelona or Real Madrid, so... It's sometimes really hard for supporters. You almost feel like they fall for it every time in some ways that you think, oh, this player absolutely loves us, and then they move on and go somewhere else.
“Players don't think like supporters. So, as I said, a lot of those players in the dressing room, will think, I'd love to play for Real Madrid. They would.
“But Andy Robertson's not daft. He's going to come out, he's going to support Trent, and he's going to support the supporters.”

Arne Slot’s reaction to Trent boos
Liverpool boss Arne Slot did not condemn the Reds support for their attitude towards the player.
“Everybody can have their own opinion and you can express it in any way you want to,” he told BBC Sport.
“I heard mixed opinions but the only opinion I have is I owe it to the players and fans to try to win a game of football.
“And if Conor Bradley can't go on because he is tired and I have Trent Alexander-Arnold on the bench, I will bring him in because we want to win this game of football. And he was very close for us to win it because he had two or three passes... What makes him so special, for me.
“It is quite simple: If I want to win, I bring him in and that's what I did. For the fans, they are entitled to have their own opinion.”
Liverpool have two games of the season remaining: a trip to Brighton on 19 May and a home clash with Crystal Palace six days later.
