After Delap: Chelsea 'weigh up' €82m move for ANOTHER Man Utd target

Chelsea are 'weighing up' a move for long-standing Manchester United target Jarrad Branthwaite, according to a report.
The Blues' business is showing no signs of slowing down. Chelsea are set to welcome Kendry Paez, Estevao and Dario Essugo to Stamford Bridge this summer, while they are also in the process of finalising the arrival of Liam Delap.
Earlier this week, it became apparent that the West London outfit had managed to win the race for the Ipswich Town striker, devastating Man Utd in the process. The 22-year-old had been the Red Devils' top target, but their failure to qualify for Europe convinced him to choose Chelsea instead.
Delap is expected to undergo his medical on Monday, with Chelsea agreeing to trigger his €35m release clause. However, it seems that the England youth international isn't the only Man Utd target the Blues have taken a liking to.
According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea are 'weighing up' making an approach for Everton centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite, who was the subject of several low-ball bids by Man Utd last summer.
Chelsea want Branthwaite
Everton refused to entertain Man Utd's offers at the time, and the Old Trafford club ultimately ended up signing Matthijs de Ligt instead. There have been fresh rumours linking the Red Devils with a move for Branthwaite, but Everton's stance hasn't changed.
The Toffees have no intention of losing their star defender, and should Chelsea formalise their interest in the 22-year-old, they are expected to be given the same response as Man Utd.

However, unlike their Northwestern rivals, Chelsea actually have money to spend and may be able to test Everton's resolve, with Branthwaite valued at around €82 million.
The England international is reportedly open to a potential transfer if a club can offer him Champions League football, which is another advantage Chelsea have over Man Utd, although it seems the Blues' interest in Branthwaite is still developing.
