As things stand, the most likely transfer option for Jadon Sancho appears to be another loan next season, according to German media.

The Man Utd outcast continues to be the subject of speculation. Finally happy again and in encouraging form prior to his injury, Sancho's future is up in the air. The player is open to staying at Borussia Dortmund permanently and BVB want to keep him, but that is easier said than done.

The Red Devils, for their part, are keen to recoup a decent chunk of their original €85 million outlay on the winger, though there are conflicting reports as to their valuation of him. While German media claims that Man Utd are willing to incur a significant loss and sell for €35m-€40m - which conveniently matches the fee Dortmund are prepared to pay - English media disputes this, asserting that they will demand more.

Either way, it would be extremely difficult for Dortmund to acquire Sancho via a straightforward transfer. This means that someone else will have to buy him, perhaps a Saudi side, though the player has no intention of heading to the Middle East, or the Black and Yellow will have to get creative.

Sancho's 'most likely' transfer option

Given that Man Utd were interested in Dortmund winger Donyell Malen in January, reports of a potential swap have resurfaced in recent days. However, these rumours were already shot down last week. United want cash and their interest in the Dutchman has gone cold lately.

Instead, Arsenal and Liverpool are now keen on Malen, who has been in great form since the winter break. A move to Arsenal would make sense and it could unlock Sancho's permanent move to Dortmund, but this is all still hypothetical.

According to BILD, the most likely transfer scenario for Sancho and Man Utd is, as things stand, another loan for the 23-year-old. In the current circumstances, this is the only way for Dortmund to keep the Englishman for another season.
