Real Madrid hopeful of signing world-class Liverpool star after Bellingham hint

Real Madrid fans have been given fresh hope in their club’s pursuit of Liverpool superstar Trent Alexander-Arnold.

The 25-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Los Blancos in recent months, with the Spanish giants reportedly targeting him as Dani Carvajal’s long-term heir.

Chelsea star Reece James has also been touted to join Real Madrid, but he is now club captain at Stamford Bridge and has been extremely injury-prone in recent years.

Alexander-Arnold, on the other hand, has been one of the world’s very best right-backs since his emergence at Anfield and he has been thoroughly impressive so far this season.

The England international has two goals and three assists in 18 Premier League appearances this campaign, with his form helping Liverpool mount a legitimate title charge.

While he came through the Reds’ academy system, a move to Real Madrid might be seen as a logical next step for Alexander-Arnold if he is to leave Anfield.

His latest social media activity has given Real Madrid fans hope that a transfer to the Santiago Bernabeu might be closer than first imagined.

Trent Alexander-Arnold’s Real Madrid hint

Los Blancos emerged triumphant in the Spanish Super Cup final on Sunday evening after a Vinicius Junior hat-trick helped them demolish their El Clasico rivals Barcelona 4-1.

Summer signing Jude Bellingham was also instrumental in their victory and he provided the assist for Vinicius’ first goal in the seventh minute.

The Englishman posted several pictures of the celebrations on his Instagram account and Alexander-Arnold was one of many stars to reply.

The Liverpool man simply posted a reply that read: “1…” to connote Bellingham’s first trophy at Real Madrid.

The pair are good friends, and it’s not the first time in which they’ve interacted on social media. Back in December, Bellingham replied to Alexander-Arnold’s Instagram post following Liverpool’s 4-3 win over Fulham, which sent Reds fans wild.

Now, Real Madrid fans are hoping that Alexander-Arnold will be joining their club soon.
