Victor Osimhen has already made a choice on his preferred next club, according to a journalist.

The Nigerian sharpshooter is one of Europe's most sought-after commodities. Having fired Napoli to their first Scudetto in 33 years last season, Osimhen was on the summer wishlist of seemingly every elite club. Yet, he decided to stay despite also receiving astronomical offers from Saudi Arabia.

This season, things aren't going quite so smoothly for Napoli and Osimhen has been in the eye of the storm more than once already, with him snapping at his now-former coach Rudi Garcia after being substituted and then threatening legal action over an insensitive TikTok post from the club.

Speculation about his future has abounded and Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham have crystallised as the most likely potential destinations for him should he leave in 2024. Now, it has been claimed that Osimhen has already decided on which of these sides he wants to join.

Osimhen wants Chelsea

That's at least according to the Evening Standard's Nizaar Kinsella, who asserts that Osimhen wants to join Chelsea over Arsenal or Spurs.

“It’s a bad market for strikers in January, and Osimhen is the striker that everyone wants,” he said on the London Is Blue podcast. “There’s no point in getting another young one now. He’d be a great fit, and Chelsea like him. Osimhen likes Chelsea, I had the information for a little while."

“He’s always loved Chelsea, loved [Didier] Drogba. They’ve got some similarities. He’d be interested in Manchester United, but they’re not going to sign a striker. It’s basically Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs competing in the battleground and Osimhen would probably pick Chelsea out of the three.”
