Manchester United are once again going for a major clearout of the current squad.

According to the Manchester Evening News, the likes of Donny van de Beek, Christian Eriksen and Sofyan Amrabat are among the names who no longer have a future with the Premier League giants after this season.

In addition, big-money signings Anthony Martial and Jadon Sancho are also said to be on the verge of leaving Old Trafford.

Van de Beek is currently in his fourth season at Man Utd, but the 26-year-old midfielder's stay has so far been a disappointment. Van de Beek has seen little playing time this season and that is why United would like to say goodbye to him in January. The 19-time Dutch international currently boasts a transfer value of just €7.2 million.

Amrabat axed as well?

United have also seen enough of Amrabat, who came over on loan from Fiorentina last summer with the hope that he could fix their midfield. The Red Devils have an option to buy the Moroccan international for €20m, but it is expected that this clause will not be activated.

Amrabat won a starting place after his injury but lost it again at the beginning of November. He then sat on the bench for the full 90 minutes of the last two league matches.

Veteran Christian Eriksen is also on his way out. The former Ajax and Tottenham player came over on a free transfer from Brentford in the summer of 2022 and enjoys the full confidence of coach Erik ten Hag.

However, due to his contract situation, Eriksen is reportedly allowed to leave. The Danish international's contract runs until 2025, meaning he can still be sold for a transfer fee next year. Eriksen is currently worth €11.5m

The likes of Casemiro, Raphael Varane, Jonny Evans, Tom Heaton, Alvaro Fernandez, Brandon Williams, Shola Shoretire, Joe Hugill and Will Fish could also all depart in 2024.
