Man Utd tempt Griezmann by TRIPLING his wages

Manchester United are ready to offer Antoine Griezmann three times as much as he earns at Atletico Madrid in a bid to lure him to Old Trafford, according to a report from Spain.
Griezmann enjoyed a stellar 2022/23 campaign that saw him nominated for the Ballon d’Or, and he continues to be a vital player for Diego Simeone’s men this time around.
The forward has scored 12 goals in 16 appearances in all competitions, providing the type of firepower that Man Utd are presently missing.

Now 32, the France international has been linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League or MLS, yet El Nacional reports that Man Utd are preparing a serious offer for Griezmann, that would include a huge leap in his earnings.
It states that the Red Devils are ready to offer Griezmann in the region of €21 million per year to join them at Old Trafford – approximately three times as much as he presently earns at the Wanda Metropolitano.

The player is under contract at Atleti until 2026, having rejoined them from Barcelona in October 2022.
The Spaniards have no intention of allowing their ace to leave, with president Enrique Cerezo recently stating that Griezmann is welcome at the club “until he wishes to leave”.
Will Griezmann move to Man Utd?
It would be surprising for Man Utd to move for a player like Griezmann at this point in his career, despite previous interest in the star when he was still with Barcelona.
Although a seasoned player who would likely provide short-term impetus at Old Trafford, the Red Devils need to be planning for the longer haul with incoming minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe. The addition of a new – and probably rather expensive – signing who will be 33 before the start of next season is, therefore, an unlikely one.
Equally, Griezmann is not the type of physical centre-forward that Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag has shown he favours in the past, suggesting that this transfer rumour is little more than paper talk.
