Chelsea are 'in love' with Arsenal target Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, according to a report.

The next Jadon Sancho, the next Jude Bellingham - Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, by virtue of being English and playing for Borussia Dortmund, has been compared to some illustrious names and he is being keenly watched by some big Premier League sides.

In many ways, the 19-year-old's reputation precedes him - and some would argue it has been blown out of proportion - because thus far, the youngster has shown little of what made his compatriots so special at Dortmund. Nevertheless, it is clear that there is an exceptionally talented player in there and this potential was recently rewarded with a new long-term contract.

This fresh deal won't deter England's elite, however, and long-time admirers Arsenal aren't the only ones keen on him.

Chelsea enter the race

That's at least according to Fichajes, which claims that Chelsea have entered the race for the former Man City youth prospect. Heavily linked with Arsenal in recent months, it appears that we could have another Mykhailo Mudryk type of battle on our hands if this report is to be believed.

The Spanish outlet asserts that the Blues are enamoured with the 19-year-old, who has only featured six times so far this season. Bynoe-Gittens would certainly fit the profile of player Chelsea have been targeting since Todd Boehly took charge of the club.

A high-potential talent, Bynoe-Gittens would not look out of place among Chelsea's other wonderkids, but it is difficult to imagine the Blues shelling out a sizeable fee - rumoured to be as high as €40 million - for him when they already boast a wealth of attacking options both currently at the club and out on loan.

Dortmund are said to have no intention of selling because they see him as a long-term investment that could yet bring them plenty of joy, as illustrated by their tying him down until 2028.
