The club have signed the Turkey international as the new Man United backup goalkeeper, replacing Dean Henderson.

It’s a deal that sees the club pay £4.3m to Fenerbahce, where he was given a warm send-off. Indeed, Henderson left Man Utd for Crystal Palace, with the London club announcing the deal yesterday.

A deal with his former loanee club Nottingham Forest didn’t go through and instead, he has made the move to south London.

And Man Utd have been in the market to replace him - and they felt that the Superlig shot-stopper would be a decent fit.

Their first-choice goalkeeper is Andre Onana, last year’s Champions League finalist who arrived from Inter this window, with David de Gea not signing fresh terms with the club who did not wish to replicate his wages from before.

Man Utd could be set for further recruits before the window slams shut tonight. Erik ten Hag is in the market for a midfielder, with Sofyan Amrabat as the main target for the position.

Fiorentina and Man Utd are currently haggling over a deal, with the Italian club having knocked back other interested clubs, given Amrabat only wants to join the Red Devils this window.

Ten Hag pinpointed Amrabat as his main target for midfield two months ago, but complications arose as Man Utd have been unable to shift off some of the unwanted names in the squad.

Harry Maguire and Scott McTominay remain at Old Trafford, at the time of writing, and so the side have been hamstrung financially.

The club are continuing talks with the Serie A side, however, and there is confidence that it will be concluded soon.
