But he soon left Dinamo for NK Kustosija, who have a good reputation for developing young players.

Indeed,19-year old defender Mikayil Faye left the club for Barcelona for a fee in the region of £4 million, plus significant add-ons, earlier this year.

Klapija has impressed for club and country, at under-17 level, and has also trained with Kustosija's first team.

Bundesliga side RB Leipzig are the current favourites to sign him, while Barcelona, AC Milan and Juventus are all interested.

And now Man Utd and Chelsea have entered the race, in the hopes that the allure of Premier League will help them to secure a deal.

It is thought that a fee of around £5m could be enough the sign the striker.

Ivan Toney to Man Utd?

Manchester United are also looking to bring in a first choice striker, with Brentford's Ivan Toney a serious consideration.

The Red Devils could make a move for Toney in January, after having conservations with him before the side flew out for their pre-season tour of the United States, FootballTransfers understands.

Sources have informed us that Erik ten Hag is after a 'number nine' following the acquisition of Rasmus Hojlund and the club are prepared to wait until Toney’s ban is lifted in a few month's time.
