Tottenham accept RECORD Kane transfer bid... but there’s a catch

Tottenham have reached an agreement with Bayern Munich over a transfer fee for striker Harry Kane.
David Ornstein of The Athletic reports that a deal “believed to be worth more than €100 million” was accepted on Wednesday, opening the door to a quick resolution on a transfer saga that has run for weeks.
Kane has been linked with Manchester United and Bayern over the summer, but it has been the Bundesliga champions who have prioritised signing the 30-year-old striker.

The decision over Kane’s future is now in the hands of the England striker, whose contract with Tottenham is up in a year’s time. He has the choice of signing a new deal with Spurs or moving to Germany to open a new chapter in his career.
Kane has previously spoken of a desire to play on the big stage on a regular basis, and presently that looks difficult at Tottenham. The London club have missed out on the Champions League this season and with the re-emergence of Arsenal and Manchester United over the past 12 months, plus the addition of Newcastle as a leading force alongside Manchester City and Liverpool, competition for the top four and, therefore, the Champions League, is hotter than ever.

Kane's big decision
The Athletic, though, indicates that this transfer remains on the edge of a knife.
New Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has breathed new life into the squad and it is said that Kane is enjoying life under the Australian, which had left Kane “leaning towards” staying at the Premier League side.
The source adds that there has been “no progress” on a new Tottenham contract for Kane, which hints as to why they have been open to accepting a transfer proposal rather than risk him becoming a free agent in 12 months.
