West Ham have launched a double swoop of Conor Gallagher and Scott McTominay.

The Hammers have submitted an official bid for Conor Gallagher of £40million, reports Fabrizio Romano - while Ex-West Ham Employee has said that they have made a verbal offer for the Scottish midfielder.

The two players are considered up for sale by both clubs but it’s not clear whether the bid will be accepted.

Gallagher has been linked with a move away for some time, with Newcastle also at one point thought to be in the running.

But now that they have bought Sandro Tonali, it’s believed that their interest has dried up.

McTominay, who Man Utd have reported set a £40m price tag on, it’s also not in Erik ten Hag’s plans, as revealed by FootballTransfers last year, while West Ham are boosted by their recent sale of Declan Rice to Arsenal for around £105m.

The 23-year-old has two years left on his Chelsea contract, so the Blues must sell now or his price will be depleted in 2024, when he will have just a year left.

Among the Hammers’ other targets include Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha and Switzerland international Denis Zakaria, the latter of which spent last season on loan from Juventus to Chelsea.

Chelsea have sold the likes of Jorginho, N’Golo Kante, Mason Mount, Mateo Kovacic and Ruben Loftus-Cheek since the turn of the year and are looking to bring in new recruits for central midfield.

Chelsea remain keen to sign Moises Caicedo, but Brighton’s valuation is being seen as a stumbling block so far for the club.

There is the belief that a move might not happen until later in the window.
