Harry Kane reportedly has 'no intention' of signing a new contract at Tottenham, according to The Times.

Kane is into the final year of his current deal and Spurs are looking to offer him in the region of £300,000 per week to stay long term.

But the England captain has been looking for a new challenge for a while now, having wanted to sign for Manchester City two summers ago.

He was made to stay, as he had three years left on his deal, but the situation is very different now.

With the ability to leave on a free transfer in 12 months' time, Kane may have the leverage to get him a move to the Bundesliga champions.

That being said, Spurs remain adamant that they want to keep their star player and have even turned down an offer of £68.5m.

Toney to Spurs?

Tottenham will target Brentford striker Ivan Toney in the event that Kane departs this summer, FootballTransfers exclusively reported last week.

Toney is currently serving a football ban that ends on January 16, due to an eight-month suspension for breaching gambling rules, while he also has restrictions on training until September.

As a result, Spurs are willing to wait until the winter transfer window to make a move for the England international.

Sources have also revealed that Toney was previously recommended to chairman Daniel Levy by former Spurs manager David Pleat, who envisioned him as the perfect candidate to provide competition to Kane.

But, at the time, Toney was unavailable and Tottenham went on to secure the services of Carlos Vinicius instead, who arrived on loan from Benfica.
