Manchester United have been tipped to sign Arsenal stars Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard if they fall under Qatari ownership.

This week is expected to be a big week for the future of Man Utd as Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani is set to make a second bid for the club in an attempt to beat Sir Jim Ratcliffe in the race to own the Red Devils.

Qatar’s Sheikh Jassim and Ratcliffe, one of the UK's richest men, both lodged bids between £4-5 billion to win through to the next round of negotiations with the Glazers, who have been in ownership of the club since 2005.

But neither have been accepted outright yet, and it is understood that Sheikh Jassim is willing to pay over the odds.

Should he be successful, then Man Utd are expected to spend unprecedented sums of money in the transfer market, akin to when PSG’s Qatari owners bought Neymar and Kylian Mbappe at a cost of over €400m.

And former Liverpool striker Stan Collymore believes that United would go out and try and sign Arsenal’s two star players in Saka and Odegaard, such is the wealth they boast.

What did Collymore say?

“Man Utd can blow most teams out of the water now, let alone under potential Qatari ownership,” Collymore told CaughtOffside.

“If they get taken over, what’s stopping them from going in for Arsenal’s Martin Odegaard or Bukayo Saka in the summer?”

“You’re not telling me Manchester United’s financial power wouldn’t at least make the Gunners, as well as the players themselves, stop and think.”

Arsenal are currently top of the Premier League and on course to win their first league title in 19 years.

Saka and Odegaard have been a key reason for their fantastic form this season, with both players in the running for Player of the Year.
