Ansu Fati is unwilling to hear out any offers from rival Premier League clubs and wishes to remain with Barcelona.

There has been reports suggesting that Manchester United would be keen on purchasing the player but a piece of subsequent news via Mundo Deportivo maintains that the 20-year-old is completely focused on turning his situation around at the Nou Camp and has no interest in making a move away over the summer.

The attacker is intent on regaining his prominence in the team and becoming one of Xavi’s first-choice players in the future.

Fati signed a new long-term contract with Barcelona two years ago that has him tied to the club until the summer of 2027

His sole focus, it is claimed, is staying with the side and helping them achieve success in the coming seasons, with a La Liga title this campaign on the horizon.

Fati found himself in the senior side in 2019, when he became the second youngest player to ever appear for Barcelona at 16 years old.

After eight goals in 33 appearances in his debut season, his form has slipped slightly and he has made just 25 appearances in all competitions in the following two terms. In this campaign he has made just nine starts.

Xavi wants Fati to stay

After rumours emerged that Man Utd wished to sign Fati, Xavi issued a response. "I don’t understand why this is being talked about now in our press conferences,’ said the former Barcelona player.

"There is no transfer window now so Ansu is not for sale. He is a very important player for us now and for the future. I have extraordinary confidence in him. Whether he has more or fewer minutes will depend on his performance. I really have blind faith in him.

"He will be a very important player for the present and the future. But he must be patient. There is too much rushing in everything."
