He has been praised by many for his performances this season for both club and country and Portuguese outlet Record are one of them identifying his progress.

They also note that clubs such as Real Madrid are interested in the player’s talents and may consider making a move for him in the future.

Interest in Bruno Fernandes

Record say that Real Madrid have been interested in Fernandes’ growth since he was at Sporting and have been tracking his progress at Manchester United since he joined in 2020.

They say the midfielder feels “satisfied and complete” at Manchester United but ‘doesn’t close the door to a step forward’ even though he’s got other objectives in his career at the minute.

Fernandes has a long contract at Manchester United, running until the summer of 2026, so any club will have to pay a big sum to secure his services in the near future.

He’s valued at €80.5 million by Football Transfers’ in-house valuation system, accounting for his age, talent, output and length of his contract.

It’s not rare for Real Madrid to sign Manchester United’s best players and they’ve done so in the past with the likes of David Beckham, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Cristiano Ronaldo and others swapping Manchester for Madrid.

Fernandes could be next in line to do so and judging by how important he has been for Manchester United since joining them in 2020, he would be a big loss for the club and Erik ten Hag’s plans at Old Trafford.
