Revealed: Dortmund’s asking price for Jude Bellingham

Borussia Dortmund have slapped a €93 million asking price on Jude Bellingham, but these demands come with one important caveat.
The Sun reports that the in-demand central midfielder will be available for much less than previously thought, but only if the €93m is paid in one instalment.

Bellingham had previously believed to be worth well over €100m, with some reports that Dortmund would request as much as €150m in order to sell him.

But it now seems that he will be available for much less than that, providing interested parties pay in one lump sum.
Man City favourites to sign Bellingham
The Sun further reports that Manchester City are in the lead to sign Bellingham next summer, ahead of local rivals Manchester United.
City are much more capable than United – or anyone else for that matter – to pay for Bellingham in one instalment.
They also possess Bellingham’s former Dortmund teammate Erling Haaland, who has enjoyed a sensational start to his career at Man City – scoring 14 goals in his first 10 games in all competitions.
Liverpool are also interested in signing Bellingham next summer, while Chelsea and Real Madrid have also been long-term admirers.
Bellingham is regarded as one of the most promising young midfielders in world football, having already made over 100 career club appearances by the age of 19.
He has also been capped 16 times by England and he is expected to go to the World Cup in Qatar in November.
Bellingham joined Borussia Dortmund from Birmingham in the summer of 2020 for a fee of over €30m.
He is one of a number of young Englishmen to move to the Bundesliga in recent years and forge successful careers, with Jadon Sancho another recent example before he returned to England to join Man Utd.
