Manchester United have completed the signing of Antony from Ajax, ending weeks of negotiations and rejected bids between the two clubs.
The fee agree is €95 million plus €5 million in add-ons, and is the third transfer between Ajax and Manchester United this year after manager Erik ten Hag and defender Lisandro Martinez.
Antony was one of Ajax’s most exciting players – something that wasn’t always reflected by his numbers for goals and assists – and his flair on the pitch will be welcomed by many.
There has been plenty of excitement from the Manchester United support too, who are looking forward to seeing their new right-wing talent make a mark at Old Trafford.

Antony will reunite with Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford, with the pair having worked together at the Dutch club between 2020 and 2022.
Ten Hag oversaw the Brazilian’s rise at the Johan Cruyff Arena, and helped him become a Brazil international – should the player continue on this trajectory, he will be at the World Cup this winter.
The transfer window has been busy for Manchester United: Antony becomes their fifth summer signing after Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen, Lisandro Martinez and Casemiro.

There could still be more business done, as the Red Devils are looking to bring in Martin Dubravka from Newcastle United on loan to challenge David de Gea.
Ten Hag has been backed heavily in his first transfer window at the club – the Red Devils have spent over €200 million in this window alone.
Antony is the most expensive signing of them all, and becomes the club’s third-most expensive player ever after Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku.
In terms of the sale, he is also Ajax’s most expensive sale ever, as well as the Eredivisie’s most expensive sale ever, overtaking Frenkie de Jong in both regards, after his move to Barcelona in 2019.
