Arsenal are interested in Wolverhampton Wanderers’ winger Pedro Neto, but the deal may prove quite difficult to complete in the remaining days of the transfer window.

The Gunners wish to add more attacking depth to their team for the rest of the season, especially with Nicholas Pepe closing in on a loan move away from the club.

Neto has emerged as a key target for Arsenal for the rest of the window, and Arsenal are in discussions with agent Jorge Mendes over the possibility of getting a deal done.

However, Arsenal are worried about the possibility of a deal due to a variety of reasons, which means they may have to wait for a while before getting their man.

Neto deal will be difficult to complete

Neto recently signed a new five-year deal with Wolves, and has a deal with the Molineux club until the summer of 2027.

That means the club are in a strong negotiating position and could demand a big fee for him if any suitors want him in the final days of this transfer window.

Wolves have put a £50 million price tag on the Portuguese winger, but that could rise if Arsenal – or any other club – continue this saga and take it closer to deadline day, leaving Wolves lesser time to find a replacement.

Arsenal themselves are unsure about forking out that big a fee for Neto this summer, having already signed £115 million worth of talent this year, including Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko.

They haven’t sold enough either, which means they will have to raise funds if they are to make more transfers as they come closer to deadline day.

Arsenal can take positivity from their start to the season – they’re the only club to win all three of their league matches so far and are hoping this season can finally mark their return to the Champions League.
