As the end of the season approaches, several players across Europe’s top clubs are entering the final few months of their contracts.

Considering that, there has been a feeling of reduced motivation for many, and that has reflected in the performances of certain players.

Here are five soon-to-be out of contract players who should have little to do for the rest of the season for their respective clubs.

Which players may not play again for their clubs?

Paul Pogba

Paul Pogba’s time at Manchester United has been turbulent – it started off well, winning the League Cup and Europa League in his first season, but didn’t get much better after that.

Now, he looks set to end his stay, and it comes after a poor season for the midfielder, where he’s had almost no impact on a team that has struggled.

His latest match against Liverpool, where he came off in the 10th minute due to injury, may well be his last for the club and call time on a difficult second spell at Old Trafford.

Andreas Christensen

Chelsea’s Andreas Christensen is set to leave the Blues this summer after almost a decade with their first team.

The defender is out of contract this summer, and is likely to join Barcelona, who have been making some serious moves in the free agent market, hoping to improve their squad in a cost-effective way.

The Dane hasn’t been in the best form all season, as seen in a recent display against Arsenal, and dropping him may be a serious consideration for manager Thomas Tuchel.

Franck Kessie

Like Christensen, Milan’s Franck Kessie is also set to leave on a free transfer to join Barcelona, with the Spanish giants agreeing a deal last month.

The Ivorian was a stellar part of Milan’s midfield, but it hasn’t quite the same this season, with his focus arguably shifting elsewhere.

His recent display against Inter in Milan’s Coppa Italia semi-final defeat was poor, and his stay might be coming to a sour end.

Paulo Dybala

Paulo Dybala is set to leave Juventus having been there for seven years, and there could be a controversial transfer on the cards.

Dybala hasn’t enjoyed his best season, and refused a contract, and there is a belief he could join Serie A rivals Inter in the summer.

Other teams interested in the Argentine forward include Tottenham and Barcelona.

Gareth Bale

Gareth Bale has had a legendary Real Madrid career, but it will be overshadowed by the last few seasons where the fans have been angered by his actions.

His injury issues, combined by his performances for Wales compared to the club have been a cause of frustration, and although Carlo Ancelotti wants to give him a good farewell, it may not be the case.

With Real Madrid close to winning La Liga, Bale may not have the biggest role in the run-in, and he may have already made his last appearance for the club.
