Martin Odegaard has expressed his delight with his first few weeks at the Emirates after making his first Arsenal start on Sunday.

The Norwegian star moved to north London towards the end of the January transfer window on loan from Real Madrid until the end of the season.

And after two initial substitute appearances, Odegaard was handed his first start by Mikel Arteta in Sunday’s 4-2 win over Leeds United.

After the game, the 22-year-old said that he is settling in well to life in the Premier League.

“It’s a bit different but I think I am adapting pretty okay,” Odegaard told Arsenal Media.

“The way they took me into the team – my teammates – and how they treated me, as well as the manager and everyone in the club, they helped me since the first minute.

“I feel really comfortable and a part of the team, so it’s been easy to come in to this team because of the way they are and the way they treated me. I’m just really happy to be here and I’m proud to be a part of this team.”

Odegaard is still owned by Real Madrid, having joined the Spanish giants in 2015 from Stromsgodset.
