FIFA 22 was released at the start of October and as always the first port of call for many users will be FIFA Ultimate Team.

Within Ultimate Team, users take control of their new squad and populate it with players according to their starting budget.

As games are won and FT points are gained, users are able to strengthen their squad by bringing in players with a higher overall rating.

The most expensive players within Ultimate Team are usually Ultimate Team Icons - players from previous generations who are recognised as being one of the best in the world at their time.

As with every new edition of FIFA, new Icons are added in addition to the plethora of legends already in the game.

New FIFA 22 Icons

FIFA 22 has four new Icons announced - Wayne Rooney, Cafu, Iker Casillas and Robin van Persie.

Depending on the version of these players, they will receive a smaller rating, a middle rating, and a higher rating.
