Chelsea striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was seen celebrating Barcelona's El Clasico victory over Real Madrid mere hours after his side's draw with Everton.

The 33-year-old striker has found himself out of favour at struggling Chelsea since his €12million move from Barcelona in the summer of 2022, making 18 appearances across the Premier League and Champions League and scoring just three goals.

Having not featured for Graham Potter's side since a seven-minute outing against Tottenham on February 26, Aubameyang has been firmly left on the outside looking in at Stamford Bridge.

The Gabonese did not make the matchday squad for Chelsea's two most recent Premier League fixtures, including their disappointing 2-2 draw with relegation-battling Everton on Sunday.

Goals from Joao Felix and Kai Havertz were cancelled out by Abdoulaye Doucoure and Ellis Simms as Sean Dyche's side claimed a potentially vital point in the fight for survival - much to the dismay of Chelsea. After the match, Aubameyang jetted off to Spain.

Good times in Barcelona

There, the striker headed straight for his former home, the Camp Nou, to attend the evening showpiece: El Clasico. Dubbed a title decider for obvious reasons, Aubameyang did not want to miss out on this spectacle involving his former employers with whom he still enjoys good rapport.

The home side ultimately came out on top in a thrilling game that saw a late Marco Asensio strike ruled out before Franck Kessie scored the dramatic winner in stoppage time.

This victory all but sealed Barcelona's first LaLiga title since 18/19. Aubameyang was seen celebrating with his ex-teammates in the dressing room following the match.

A January return to Barcelona was foiled by FIFA rules, but the 33-year-old outcast is still expected to leave Chelsea in the summer. Could he line up for the Blaugrana again in the future?
