The Premier League is the home of some of the world’s biggest names - but that doesn’t mean they’re not set to leave their respective sides.

With the summer transfer window nearing, elite footballers have been linked to clubs away from their own, both in and out of the Premier League.

As with any transfer rumours, we must take them with a grain of salt. But all stories tend to come from somewhere, with one side hoping to secure a huge deal for their client, or a player looking to finally get a taste of Champions League football.

EXCLUSIVE: Man Utd want Maguire to stay ahead of summer overhaul

Here FootballTransfers goes through some Premier League stars who could well make an exit from their current clubs in the summer transfer window.

Bruno Guimaraes

It was revealed that the release clause in Bruno Guimaraes’ contract at Newcastle is only valid from the final week of May to the final week of June. This means that beyond that point, the Magpies will have control on the situation and the final say over whether they accept bids or not. The Brazil international is not short on suitors, with Manchester United, Liverpool, Barcelona, and Paris Saint-Germain all linked to the 26-year-old.

Luis Diaz

Barcelona are looking for a new left-winger and reports have suggested that Liverpool’s Luiz Diaz is among their targets. The attacker, who is valued at around €70m by the Reds, is seen as an ideal fit for Xavi’s 4-3-3 formation. Liverpool are gearing up for a transitional period, with Jurgen Klopp set to depart the club in the summer - but this means that a lot of the first-team player’s futures are uncertain, with Diaz among them.

Alexander Isak

Alexander Isak recently went on record to say that he wished to stay at Newcastle, but the rumours still persist. The Sweden international is one of the most in-form players in the Premier League right now, and consequently, Arsenal and Man Utd have been linked to purchasing him. Newcastle’s issues with FFP are well-documented but even still, it will take a hefty fee to prise the 24-year-old away from St James’ Park.

Ivan Toney

Ivan Toney was one of the hottest names before the Christmas period, even though he was still serving a nine-month ban at the time. But since coming back in the fold for Brentford in January, those reports have disappeared.

It was thought that Chelsea and Arsenal were gunning for the forward’s signature, but those links have cooled. However, it’s still apparent that he wishes to move on from the Bees in the summer, but it will all come down to the price.

Jacob Ramsey

Jacob Ramsey is out for the season after sustaining an injury to his foot. A Birmingham lad, the midfielder is one of Aston Villa’s own - but the Villains are another side who may have to sell to abide by FFP rules.

Ramsey has been linked with a move to Newcastle, and though this seems unlikely, it appears that Unai Emery’s side will have to move on a star name or two to ensure that they don’t fall foul of the league’s financial laws.

Jarrad Branthwaite

Jarrad Branthwaite is likely to be sold as Everton look to bring in enough money to ensure they too don’t get hit with (further) points deductions. Farhad Moshiri is struggling to attract new investors and the centre-back is their most valuable asset. FootballTransfers revealed that Man Utd were keen on Branthwaite - but Newcastle and Manchester City are fans of the youngster, too.

Bryan Mbeumo

Bryan Mbeumo has enjoyed a breakout season in the Premier League. He has been one of the most clinical right-wingers in this campaign, which has naturally drawn his name to rival clubs. Brentford will do everything to keep ahold of him, but their mettle is sure to be tested in the upcoming window.

Raheem Sterling

It’s been a poor season for Raheem Sterling and you would imagine that Chelsea will be open to offers, especially given the club’s philosophy of keeping the squad’s age down. The attacker has not been linked to any club in the Premier League yet, but surely it’s one that the Saudi Pro League would like to take a look at.

Morgan Gibbs-White

Morgan Gibbs-White is one of the underrated gems of the Premier League. A star for Nottingham Forest, his displays have reportedly caught the attention of Newcastle coach Eddie Howe.

Maintaining their Premier League spot will be of the utmost importance for the Midlands club, but if they did drop to the Championship, you can believe that their hand may be forced in selling the attacker.

Jack Grealish

Man City forked out £100m for Jack Grealish and you suspect that they would want a price that’s the best side of half of that. It’s been a hit-and-miss season for Grealish and jury is out on whether the Citizens should keep or sell.

There have not been any clubs mentioned, other than a link to Chelsea - but even that is improbable.
