Arsenal are keen to further strengthen their squad this summer as they look to continue their progression under Mikel Arteta.

The Gunners have continued to improve each campaign under the tenure of their former midfielder and that is partly due to their shrewd activity in the transfer market.

In the summer of 2023, Arsenal broke their transfer record to sign Declan Rice from West Ham for €116.6 million.

In addition, Kai Havertz, Jurrien Timber and David Raya (loan) also arrived during the same window as the Gunners spent big after missing out on the English top flight title.

The club haven't been shy in splashing the cash recently to try and fight the might of Manchester City and Liverpool in the Premier League, and with an injection of Champions League money, they are set to splurge on transfers this summer once again.

We exclusively detailed via Steve Kay that Arsenal are prepared to SMASH their transfer record this summer, with Arteta set to be backed heavily in the transfer market.

As always with such a big club, the Arsenal transfer rumour mill is in full swing, with Arteta keen to add to the talent he has already brought to the club.

Arsenal told to sign Murillo

“Get Murillo, if I could give you one tip this summer it would be to get Murillo," Seaman said on the Seaman Says podcast.

Palace want to keep Olise

Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner hopes Michael Olise stays at the club beyond this summer.

The winger has been in sensational form for the Eagles recently which has catalysed plenty of transfer speculation, with Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd some of the clubs credited with an interest in his services. Ideally for Palace, though, he'll ignore all suitors.

"I hope all the players will be here [next season]," Glasner told reporters.

"I know the club will do everything to ensure they will play for Crystal Palace next season. I think what we can show from the sports department is that we are ambitious and they can benefit and make a big contribution to being successful. That is what we can offer them, the rest we will see."

Guardiola aims dig at Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd

Pep Guardiola has aimed a transfer spending dig at Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd.

Man City are on the cusp of winning their fourth Premier League title in a row - a feat never done before in the English top-flight - but they face accusations of spending huge amounts of money to win those accolades.

However, Guardiola has accused the club's rivals of spending MORE without gaining similar success.

"It was the money [that won titles]. For that reason why: Man United should have won all the titles. All of them. And the second, Chelsea all the titles. And the third Arsenal... all the titles," he told reporters.

"They spend as much money in the last five years as us. They should be there. They are not there."

Gunners still keen on Diomande

Arsenal still want to sign Ousmane Diomande from Sporting CP.

The young defender can play centre-back or right-back and has a release clause of €80 million, though the Portuguese giants would accept lower.

O Jogo reports that Sporting are planning to sign Zeno Debast from Anderlecht as Diomande's replacement.
