The SEVEN superstars Saudi Arabia will try to sign in January

Saudi Pro League teams have lined up seven huge footballing names as they prepare to go on another transfer splurge in January.

According to Catalunya Radio, Mohamed Salah is a top target once again.

Al-Ittihad had a €175 million bid rejected by Liverpool for the attacker in the final week of the summer transfer window. They are now set to return with a bigger offer in January.

Robert Lewandowski is also a primary target for Saudi clubs, despite his veteran status at the age of 35. The Barcelona striker remains one of the best goalscorers in the game.

Another world class player over the age of 30, Kevin De Bruyne of Man City, will also likely receive offers in January.

The same is the case for Real Madrid duo Luka Modric and David Alaba, both of whom received offers this past summer.

Tottenham attacker Richarlison has strong interest in Saudi Arabia and is a strong candidate for a transfer given his struggles in north London.

Finally, Jadon Sancho is wanted by a number of Saudi clubs. This is a transfer that is certainly possible in January given the very public falling-out with Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag after the 3-1 defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates.

The Saudi Pro League emerged as one of the two richest leagues in football this summer, with the Public Investment Fund (PIF) - who own Al-Nassr, Al Ahli, Al-Ittihad and Al-Hilal - pumping money into the sport in a bid to attract some of the world’s best players.

This has resulted in a host of superstars already moving to Saudi Arabia in 2023, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Neymar and N’Golo Kante moving.

Ruben Neves, Aleksandar Mitrovic, Fabinho, Kalidou Koulibaly, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Gabri Veiga are just a number of the other big-name stars to transfer to Saudi Arabia.

Many more stars are certain to follow them in 2024.
