Solskjaer SLAMS Man Utd for selling Scott McTominay

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has slammed his former club for selling Scott McTominay.
McTominay joined Napoli from Man Utd last summer for just €30 million and has been a revelation in Italy.

The Scotland star has scored 11 goals (all from open play) and delivered four assists in 31 Serie A games. He has 12 goals in all competitions.
His performances have led Napoli to lead the Scudetto race by three points with three games remaining. If Napoli win the Scudetto, he is being tipped to be named Serie A Footballer of the Year.

Solskjaer slams Man Utd
The decision of Man Utd to sell McTominay has been widely panned, with Paolo Di Canio even calling for the club's directors to be "arrested".
And Solskjaer has now added to the growing chorus criticising the club.
The Norwegian, who was manager of United from 2018 to 2021, made McTominay a key player of his team while in charge.
“Scott [McTominay] and Fred together, they were lads you would put your hat on every day to give 100 per cent,” Solskjaer, who is now in charge of Besiktas in Turkey, told BBC Sport.
“How you can sell Scott is beyond me.”

Man Utd have struggled badly without McTominay this season and are currently in 15th place in the Premier League.
As for McTominay, he has flourished under Napoli manager Antonio Conte.
McTominay was again decisive in Saturday's 1-0 win at Lecce as he ducked under Giacomo Raspadori's winning free kick goal which blocked the view of the goalkeeper Wladimiro Falcone.
The Scot has scored five goals in his last four games for the club.

Solskjaer also commented on some of his other former players.
“For me, Harry [Maguire] has always been a leader and a fighter,” Solskjaer said. “I was never in doubt when I signed him and he walked in the door he would be captain for us.
“There is another captain there in Bruno. The two of them are top human beings. I was so happy for them last night [versus Bilbao].
“Those two and Victor [Lindelof] are probably the only ones I have heard from in the club since I left. You want the best for them.”
