Juventus have been in talks with Rabiot over a new deal for a few months but discussions had until now not made significant headway.

However, Gazzetta dello Sport not reports that Juventus have made an impressive new salary offer to Rabiot.

The Bianconeri have offered a salary of €10 million plus bonuses, a significant increase on his current €7m per year deal.

Rabiot will not make a decision until the end of the season and will wait to see if Juventus qualify for the Champions League.

But there is a growing feeling that Rabiot could now stay on, having enjoyed the individual season of his career.

The 27-year-old has been Juve’s best player in 2022-23, scoring nine goals in all competitions.

The Bianconeri also have a good relationship with the player’s agent/mother Veronique Rabiot.

Premier League sides will have no problem meeting Rabiot’s salary demands and offering a decent signing-on bonus.

Man Utd, Arsenal and Liverpool - all of whom are searching for central midfielders in the summer - are leading the chase for Rabiot.

Chelsea and Man City also are watching developments, as are Tottenham.

Juventus coach Max Allegri would like to keep Rabiot but there is no guarantee the Italian will still be manager next term so that is unlikely to sway the Frenchman.

Rabiot close to joining Man Utd

Rabiot was very close to joining Man Utd last summer, with the 27-year-old locked in advanced negotiations with the Red Devils.

It is widely understood that Juventus and Man Utd agreed on a transfer fee worth €18 million plus €6m in add-ons.

All that was required to complete the move was for Rabiot to agree personal terms.

However, Rabiot requested a huge salary rise. His mother and agent Veronique was blamed for these excessive demands, also asking for a huge signing-on bonus.

Subsequently, Man Utd refused to meet these salary demands and the transfer fell through.

Instead, United opted to pay substantially more in buying Real Madrid legend Casemiro for over €70m.

Rabiot also impressed at the World Cup, playing a key role in France’s journey to the final where they lost on penalties to Argentina after a thrilling 3-3 draw.
