Paris Saint-Germain are eyeing Juventus star Federico Chiesa as a potential Neymar replacement, according to Italian media.

Few clubs have had a busier summer than PSG. The French giants were embroiled in a heated contract dispute with Kylian Mbappe, transfer-listing their star player only to turn around and rehabilitate him after 'positive and constructive' talks prior to their Ligue 1 opener against Lorient.

Now, instead of Mbappe, Neymar is heading for the exit after being told by the club that he is surplus to requirements. Long-linked with a sensational return to Barcelona, the Brazilian will instead be heading to the Saudi Pro League to link up with Al-Hilal, who tried to sign Mbappe for a world-record sum earlier in the window.

The Brazilian is reportedly set to earn as much as €200 million per season over the course of two years, while his current French employer will bank a fee in the region of €100m. Though PSG won't be sad about seeing their record signing depart, he will leave a hole in their squad that needs filling.

PSG want Chiesa

The man tasked with filling that hole could be Federico Chiesa, according to Gazzetta dello Sport. The Juventus winger has been repeatedly linked with a summer exit despite the Bianconeri only making his loan from Fiorentina permanent last summer.

Linked to the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United, the European champion could be on his way to Paris as no player at Juventus is 'non-transferable' this summer, claims the report. Juventus find themselves in a tricky financial situation only exacerbated by the fact that they will not be competing in the Champions League this season.

Despite this, Juventus are more relaxed now than they were a few weeks ago due to sales and lucrative loan deals. They don't feel as though they need to sell important first-teamers anymore and it would reportedly take more than €60m to convince them to let Chiesa leave.
