When is Messi’s interview with France Football released?

Messi’s much-anticipated interview with France Football is due to be published on Saturday 9 October.

This is Messi’s first official interview since joining PSG.

He will talk about why he left Barcelona, his life in Paris and the Copa America victory with Argentina.

Messi signed for PSG on a Bosman transfer in August in a shock deal after Barcelona were unable to register his new contract with La Liga for financial and legal reasons.

The 34-year-old broke down in tears during his farewell press conference with Barcelona, making it clear that it had been his desire to continue with the Blaugrana.

Messi broke record after record during 17 glorious seasons with Barca, scoring an incredible 672 goals in 778 games.

He won 10 La Liga titles, four Champions League crowns and picked up a record six Ballon d’Or trophies.

His start to life at PSG has not been perfect, scoring only one goal in five appearances.

He did, however, inspire PSG to a 2-0 victory over Manchester City in the Champions League last week.

Leo scored a brilliant second goal to clinch the game at the Parc des Princes.
